Permanent residence permit
A permanent residence permit grants the right to reside in Denmark without time limit. It can be obtained after typically 8 years of legal and uninterrupted residence (can be reduced to 4 years if supplementary requirements are met).
Main requirements
- 8 years of legal residence (or 4 years if supplementary conditions are met).
- Passed Danish Language Test 2 or equivalent.
- Full-time employment for at least 3 years and 6 months in the last 4 years.
- No public debt.
- No certain criminal offences.
- Signed integration declaration.
