Is it possible to achieve Danish citizenship?
If you have resided in Denmark for a number of years it is possible to apply for Danish Citizenship.
Application for Danish citizenship is processed by the Ministry for Immigration and Integration.

Danish citizenship
Danish citizenship is the highest form of attachment to Denmark and confers full civic rights, including the right to vote for the Folketing, a Danish passport, and free movement throughout the EU.
Main requirements
- 9 years of uninterrupted legal residence in Denmark.
- Passed the Citizenship Test (Indfødsretsprøven).
- Passed Danish Language Test 3 (Prøve i Dansk 3).
- Self-sufficiency and no public debt.
- No criminal record of a certain nature (the conduct requirement).
- Signed declaration of allegiance and loyalty.
Denmark has allowed dual citizenship since 2015.
