When you send an online application to SIRI, but you do not have MitID, you can, in some instances, send the application by signing a sworn declaration.
If you need to send an application to SIRI for a new residence permit, you can sign our online applications with a sworn declaration. In the declaration, you solemnly swear that you have provided correct information in the application. The declaration may contain other points that you also agree to.
If you do not have MitID, you can use the sworn declaration to send an online application. MitID is a digital ID issued by the Danish authorities.
In two applications for extension, MF2 and PHD2, and in applications where you can apply for either a new residence permit or an extension, you can also sign with a sworn declaration.
It is important that you sign and attach our sworn declaration.
We can only use your signature if you have signed our declaration, not if you have signed another document. If the signature is on another document, we cannot process your case until you have sent us the signed sworn declaration.

1. Download the correct declaration
2. Sign digitally or by hand in the field ‘Signature’
3. Save the signed declaration digitally
4. Sign in to and complete your application
5. On the second to last page in the application, choose first ‘Sign and send’, and then ‘Sign with a signature file’
6. Go to the next page again and attach the declaration by choosing ‘Choose file’ under ‘Attach signature file’
