The employment contract or job offer must include the following information:

  • Employer (name, address and CVR number)
  • Employee’s name
  • Place of work (name and address)
  • Start date of the employment
  • End date of the employment contract, if the employment is temporary
  • Title/position
  • Tasks/responsibilities
  • Work hours
  • Salary
  • Applicable conditions in case of:
  • Overtime, including a projection of its scope, if possible, and whether it is paid separately or compensated as time off
  • Holiday
  • Termination

Remember that the contract or job offer must be dated.

The contract or job offer and any appendices must also be signed by both you and your employer.

Special rules for salary stated in foreign currency

If the salary offered in the employment contact or job offer is stated in a foreign currency, it is required that you attach an addendum with the salary converted into Danish kroner (DKK).
