If you are doing an internship within the green sector
If you apply for a residence permit as an intern within the green sector (agriculture, veterinary, forestry or horticulture), you must have passed a language test in Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, English or German at A2-level or higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
For English language tests offered by IELTS, we accept test scores from 3.0.
For English language tests offered by TOEFL, we accept test scores at Studieprøven level (C1 CEFR level).
The language test must be featured either on the Q-marklist published by the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE), or in the appendices to the governing law (in Danish: praktikantbekendtgørelsen).

The language test must be shared with us and, if needed, verifiable. SIRI can request the Danish diplomatic mission in your region to verify your test result. It means that you can be contacted by the Danish mission and be asked questions regarding your documents. We will both notify you and your place of internship (or the third party) in case the documents are sent to verification.

If you take the Cambridge Assessment English language test, please be aware of the following:
- Remember to bring your passport on the day you take the test
- For language tests taken in Ukraine, the test centre must take a photo of you in connection with the test
- You must share your test result with us through the Cambridge English Candidate Results Website (opens in a new window). Log in with your ‘ID number’ and ‘secret number’, and click on ‘Send my result’. You need to send your result to the ‘Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration’.
